A community-building event, Pal-entine’s Day is an AMEBA-favorite social event to provide UCLA graduate researchers with a space to connect with and bond with peers. This event includes activites for anyone wishing to celebrate friendship, community, and partnership.

First Friday Coffee Hour
Our monthly coffee hours are held on the first Friday (usually) of each month. This series is designed to provide UCLA graduate researchers with a space to connect, commiserate, and reflect with peers. Select coffee hours are also sponsored by the Behavioral Wellness Center at UCLA and provide mental wellness-oriented activities to provide students and researchers with a toolkit for improving their personal mental wellbeing.

7th Annual Demystifying the Oral Qualifying Exam
An annual event held by AMEBA, this event is designed for first and second-year doctoral students to improve transparency regarding the Oral Qualifying Exam. Students can meet with faculty and graduate students who have advanced to candidacy to understand the expectations, preparation needed for, and outcomes of the Oral Qualifying Exam.
